Abstract:
This dissertation explores migration literature, highlighting its importance in illustrating themes of resilience, identity, and belonging in the context of globalization. It explores how these narratives encompass the diverse experiences of migrants, illuminating the difficulties they encounter, including exile, cultural displacement, and the pursuit of a feeling of belonging. Through the examination of many literary works, the research emphasizes the inventive language and narrative strategies used to portray intricate emotional landscapes and societal concerns. Additionally, the research looks at how migration literature challenges prejudices and cultivates empathy in readers by acting as a counter-narrative to prevailing cultural discourses. Through connecting individual and group experiences, these narratives encourage a more thorough understanding of the reality of migration and challenge viewers’ preconceptions and prejudices. Finally, this dissertation argues that incorporating migration literature in educational programs helps improve students’ comprehension and empathy for the varied experiences of migrants. Through the dissemination of these stories, we may foster a more knowledgeable and inclusive community that values the diversity of human experiences influenced by migration.
