An Online Seminar by Dr. Deema Kaedbey on Indigenous and Ecofeminist Literature
We were pleased to host an online seminar on February 4, 2026, titled “Introduction to Indigenous and Ecofeminist Concepts and Literature,” organized by the LLCIS Research Lab and the Interdisciplinary Studies MA Program at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University.
The session was led by Dr. Deema Kaedbey, Director of The Knowledge Workshop in Beirut. The seminar examined key Indigenous concepts and ecofeminist literature, with a focused discussion of Linda Hogan’s The Woman Who Watches Over the World.
MA and doctoral students engaged in thoughtful academic exchange on environmental justice, Indigenous knowledge, and women’s roles in sustaining life and culture.
