English Teacher Internship Initiative Highlights
The English Teacher Internship Initiative (ETII) event, hosted in collaboration with the American Cultural Association and partners, brought together prospective English educators for an informative session on Friday, May 16, at 12:00 PM in Room 3. The session, led by Mr. Abdelouahed Ghallali (Local Coordinator, ALC Tangier) and coordinated with Dr. Zakian Benamar (Head of the Department of English Language & Literature) and Dr. Brahim Barhoun (Coordinator of the MA Program), introduced attendees to ETII’s unique offerings, including theoretical training in pedagogy, six-month internships across various institutions, and a certification designed to launch careers in public or private education. Participants also had the opportunity to hear from program alumnus Imane Derrazi, gaining first-hand insights into career paths and experiences after completing ETII. Attendees learned about admission requirements and deadlines, received direct answers to questions, and explored pathways for teaching careers through ETII. This event reinforced the initiative’s ongoing commitment to shaping future educators by providing practical training, mentorship, and opportunities for hands-on experience in diverse educational settings.
