LLCIS Lab Student Participation in the 3rd International Conference on Gender Studies, “Gender and Leadership in Academia” in Madrid | 8 – 10 Jul, 2025
The LLICS Lab is pleased to announce the participation of its PhD student, Ikram Ben Talha, in the 3rd International Conference on Gender Studies, “Gender and Leadership in Academia”, held from 8 to 10 July 2025 in Madrid, Spain. Organised under the leadership of Conference Co-Chairs Carmen Fernández Montraveta and Insaf Bekir, the event gathered international scholars working on gender, leadership, and academic structures. Ikram presented a paper entitled “Redefining Gender Identity and Leadership: Moroccan Women’s Writings and the Quest for Independence,” co-authored with Dr. Brahim Barhoun. Her contribution highlighted the intersections of gender, identity, and narrative agency in contemporary Moroccan women’s writing.
