LLCIS Lab Student Presentation at the International Conference on Maghreb History at Centre Jacques Berque, Rabat
LLCIS Lab is pleased to highlight the participation of Ahmed Benali in the international conference “Writing History in the Maghreb (7th–20th Centuries): Authors, Texts, Manuscripts,” held on 10–11 June 2024 at the Centre Jacques Berque, Rabat, Morocco.
Ahmed Benali presented a paper titled “The Rif War Through Riffian Eyes: Revisiting Memoirs, Testimonies, and Local Histories.” The presentation explored the Rif War by examining memoirs, testimonies, and local historical accounts, offering perspectives that challenge conventional historical narratives and highlight the experiences and voices of Riffian communities.
