Recap: Literary Encounter with Abdelhamid El Beyuki
On Friday, April 11, 2025, the Linguistic, Literary, Cultural & Interdisciplinary Studies Research Lab at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, in collaboration with Centre Culturel Iklyle, organized a literary encounter with the acclaimed Moroccan author Abdelhamid El Beyuki.
The session was moderated by PhD candidate Mariam Bouaoud, who guided the discussion with thoughtful questions and critical insights into Bajouqi’s literary vision. The event gathered professors, PhD candidates, MA students, and literature enthusiasts for a stimulating exchange on the author’s works, creative process, and reflections on Moroccan culture and society.
Through this engaging dialogue, participants explored key themes such as identity, memory, and the power of narrative in representing lived experience. The encounter provided a vibrant intellectual space that celebrated Moroccan creativity and fostered meaningful literary discussion.
