The LLICS Lab is pleased to announce the participation of its PhD student, Ikram Ben Talha, in the international conference “Other Narratives: Voicing the Different Memory,” held on 26–27 November 2025 at the Faculty of Arabic Language in Marrakech. She presented a co-authored
paper with Dr. Brahim Barhoun, “Palestinian Women’s Writing as Counter-Archive: Trauma, Ekphrasis, and Feminist Historiography”. The paper examined how Palestinian women writers construct alternative memory practices and challenge dominant historiographical narratives
through literary form.
