LLCIS Lab is pleased to highlight the participation of Ahmed Benali in the BRISMES Annual Conference held at Newcastle University, UK, from 1–3 July 2025.
Ahmed Benali presented a paper titled “Historical Sites of Oblivion: Contesting Postcolonial Memory in Contemporary Moroccan Literature.” The presentation examined how contemporary Moroccan literature engages with postcolonial memory, exploring sites of historical erasure and the ways in which literary narratives challenge dominant historical discourses.
