Recap: The Other-Archives — A Hybrid Talk by Dr. Brahim El Guabli
On Monday, June 2, 2025, the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences at Université Abdelmalek Essaâdi successfully hosted a hybrid talk entitled “The Other-Archives”. The session was led by Dr. Brahim El Guabli of Johns Hopkins University, acclaimed author of Moroccan Other-Archives (2023) and Desert Imaginations (2025).
The event brought together faculty members, PhD candidates, and MA students for a rich discussion on archives, memory, and cultural narratives. Dr. El Guabli’s insights provided attendees with a deeper understanding of how literature and historical imagination intersect with questions of identity and preservation.
