Rethinking Research: Integrating Research Perspectives Across Disciplines – Dr. Aicha Bouchara
On Thursday, March 13th, 2025, the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University hosted an enriching seminar titled “Rethinking Research: Integrating Gender Perspectives Across Disciplines.” The session was led by Dr. Aicha Bouchara, Professor and Researcher in Gender Studies at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University. Organized by the Linguistic, Literary, Cultural & Interdisciplinary Studies Research Lab, the seminar was designed specifically for doctoral candidates engaged in interdisciplinary research.
Dr. Bouchara’s presentation explored how integrating gender perspectives can expand the analytical scope and social relevance of academic inquiry. She emphasized the epistemological and methodological implications of feminist thought across disciplines, inviting participants to rethink conventional research paradigms. Through examples drawn from social sciences, literature, and cultural studies, the seminar highlighted how gender-aware methodologies can enrich both theoretical frameworks and practical applications.
